I try to grade the condition of my postcards as honestly as I can, but please bear in mind that opinions are likely to differ from time to time! Please use the following grading scale as a guide to the condition of the postcards you will see on this website.
Excellent - No obvious or major flaws. Sharp corners, clean and if postally used writing does not detract from appearance.
Very Good - Minor defects such as album marks, signs of age and handling that do not detract from a visually pleasing card.
Good - Noticeable defects, handling and wear apparent. Slight creasing and minor postal damage.
Fair - Obvious creasing, staining, small tears or general damage evident. Significant edge or corner damage.
Poor - incomplete, image seriously affected. Will not apply to any Postcard Heaven cards!
Please note - Some cards (in my opinion) will fall in between these grades, also the line between the grades will sometimes be fine (e.g. some cards that I describe as 'good' may well be 'very good').
